The piece is a musical ramble, as things emerge, glimpses and views underwritten by the underlying rhythms of the seasons, although I'm quite sure it's harvest time and all is cast in hazy gold as a blood red sun lingers a while in the western sky before giving way to the full moon, which quite literally casts a very different light on things, but no less vivid. Perspectives abound, for it is only by experiencing such thing that we may reach any sort of passion at all, but all passion much rejoice in its unworthiness of the thing itself. Ask the fellow on his tractor what it means, or the New-Age shaman playing his didgeridoo in the barrow, or the sky-clad young witch dancing in the moonlight on top of Silbury Hill, or the archaeologist in his tunnel deep in the bowels of the hill itself, and they'll all tell you something different. Such differences are, I think, a good thing; part of a bigger picture that keeps on revealing itself the closer you get to it, or, for that matter, the further away you stand.
