Shepherdess Undone (Searching for Lambs #2) (4.02)

The Knight sees the The Shepherdess tending her lambs. She is dressed in white and singing, as though an angel. He hides across the river, watching her in the pasture, enchanted by her radiant beauty and innocence. She comes to the river to bathe - and afterwards the lies in the sun to dry. Dosing in the heat and she begins to masturbate. Seeing this, the knight is aroused to cross the river and rape her. No sooner has he finished than she wants him to do it again. Appalled at what he has done, and by her emergence as a sexual creature, the knight insists on the shepherdess joining him on his pilgrimage to the Shrine of St. Cuthbert at Durham Cathedral. At the shrine, the knight prays, whilst the shepherdess looks on as the gravity of her predicament dawns on her, all the while singing her pastoral folk song. She then takes his knife from his scabbard and even as he prays she slits his throat. As he dies, The Knight smiles and gestures his thanks to The Shepherdess for releasing him from his unbearable life.
